This is a net price sale of the James P. Myerson collection of 1861-1868 Issue postal history. It is a joint offering by Richard Frajola and Suburban Stamp Incorporated. This internet sale may well be the largest United States postal history collection offered via this venue to date. All items are offered subject unsold. For ordering and shipping information, please visit the links above. Prices do not include shipping by FEDEX or any applicable sales tax.

This collection was built over the last twenty five years by a very condition conscious collector. Key pieces were acquired from major name sales as well as privately. In fact, whenever high quality postal history of the era came into my hands for direct sale, it almost invariably found its way into the Myerson collection. Much of the material here has never before been offered publicly.

Within the stringent quality requirements imposed, Myerson focused on acquiring shade rarities, exceptional examples of the grills, perfect strikes of fancy cancels, Civil War related domestic usages, and foreign usages with the rates correctly prepaid. Although never shown publicly, this collection ranks as one of the most comprehensive and appealing single issue collections formed in the last thirty years.

There are multiple ways to view this site. The search function will probably be the most convenient. The table of contents is organized by stamp denomination and includes links to all pages that have a particular stamp. The highlights page provides links to some of the more exceptional covers. All of these links can be found in the table at top of this page. In addition, each page has a next page link at the bottom that will step you, page by page, through the entire sale from the start. The references link above will take you to a page of the literature used to describe the items.
