Combination With Hawaii, 5c brown (#76) tied in combination with Hawaii 5c blue (#32) to Conde correspondence cover to Chittenango, New York, red "Honolulu U.S. Postage Paid Feb 23" origin postmark and target cancel, carried on ship D.C. Murray which left date of Honolulu postmark and arrived in San Francisco on February 12, 1867, "San Francisco Cal Mar 13" postmark and additional cog cancels, Philatelic Foundation certificate, extremely fine

Usage To Hong Kong, China, two copies 24c gray (#78) tied in combination with single 5c brown (#76) to Heard correspondence folded entire to Hong Kong by bold 4 bars in circle New York Foreign Mails cancels, red "N. York Br Pkt Paid Jun 5" exchange office datestamp, red manuscript "40" for 53c rate, red "London Paid JU 27 64" transit, Insuffy Stamped Via Marseilles two line handstamp apparently applied in error as the "Via Marseilles" rate was 53c but the "40" credit was the correct credit for 45c rate "Via Southampton", blue "Hong Kong AU 18 64" arrival backstamp without any additional due, very fine $2,000

Usage To Panama, cover from New Haven, Connecticut to Consul Bradley at Panama, originally posted with single 3c rose (#65) tied by "Feb 9" duplex postmark with manuscript "Due 7" at left to make up correct rate, mail to Panama required prepayment in full so cover was held, additional franking of 2c black (#73) and 5c brown (#76) was added and tied by geometric cancels, matching "New Haven Con Feb 10" postmark, an extremely fine and attractive usage $1,250
