Animal Head cancel (Skinner-Eno #PH-F92 evidently traced from a strike not as complete as this) tying 3c rose (#65) to cover, "Lynchburg Va Nov 24" postmark, pencil 1867 docket on reverse, this cover was termed a "bird's head" by Knapp, to me it is clearly the head of a sheep, some cover toning, ex Knapp, extremely fine strike Virginia $1,500
