Wells, Fargo Usage paste up cover with 1c blue (#63) tied by blue "Wells Fargo & Co San Francisco Jan 10" date stamp, paste back of three franked covers making up the 10c rate to New York, carried completely outside of the mails, "Boyd's Despatch 38 Fulton St Feb 1 1866" delivery handstamp and "Paid", cover exploded out for exhibit, restored fold and one 3c entire cut into, an extremely fine and rare conjunctive usage by two private mail handlers usage, illustrated in Evans

Valentine Cover, 1c blue (#63) tied to large size, embossed cover used locally at Hanover, Illinois, their double circle "Feb 14" postmark, fancy pierce-work valentine apparently original to cover, very minor age flecks, fine and attractive $250
